Second Annual Fund Drive, February & March 2012
Our Inaugural Fund Drive in 2011 raised nearly $25,000 for Mammoth Lakes schools for 2011-2012. On the heels of this success, we are excited to continue our efforts this February and March with our Second Annual Fund Drive, focusing on the 2012-2013 academic year.
While thrilled with this initial response, we hope to increase participation so that eventually every Mammoth area household with children in our schools will contribute. Whether the donation is large or small, we hope to engage our parent community to take ownership and pride in the success of our schools. There are many variables to providing an excellent education, but involved parents and community rank as one of the highest indicators of successful schools.
In working closely with the Mammoth Unified School District, the goal of the NOW Education Foundation continues to be raising funds to pursue excellence in education. Through partnerships, events, and annual fund drives we will have an impact on all of the school sites in alignment with the District’s adopted priorities. Our focus continues to be in the following areas:
·Academic Flexibility
·Art & Music
·College and Career Exploration
·Increased Class Offerings
·Language Pathways
·Technology
Our Annual Fund Drive is strategically set for February and March to allow the district to integrate the funds into their plan for the upcoming school year.

The mission of the Mammoth Schools NOW Education Foundation (NOW) is to enhance educational excellence in the public schools of Mammoth Lakes through partnerships and fundraising to support programs that improve school culture, facilities, and academic flexibility.
